Description

This is an ha rgb image of the Andromeda Galaxy. Since my optics have a lot of defects on this pixelscale, I trained a neural network filter in fitswork that took my image as the source and an image taken of M31 with a Tak as ground truth. The star shapes of the small to medium stars were improved significantly, only the biggest stars still have a lot of astigmatism visible. fitswork has some limitations on the neurons of it's filter that prevented the big stars to be registered in total. But hey 60% free APO Stars ;D

Description: This new revision shows the process I used in order to enhance the star rendition. The Source image was my image that was processed but no star size reduction was done. I found a very nice m31 on astrobin and aligned as good as possible and let fitswork train on this source and target files to create the neural network filter. The third image shows the result which was then further processed.
